Where’s Wally in the library?

MORE than just books can be found at the library.

Biggleswade Library will be holding its Big Open Day on Thursday (April 14) from 10am to 4pm.

There will be something for everyone and it will be an ideal way to entertain your children during the Easter break while learning a new skill yourself.

Lacemaking, massages and Where’s Wally crafts will all be on offer from local organisations, voluntary groups and the library itself.

Indian head and hand massages will be available all day, as will tips from The Catherine Lacemakers.

Rhyme Time for nought to five year olds will take place from 10.15am to 10.45am, card making from 10.30am to 11.30am and St John’s Ambulance volunteers will share first aid tips for parents from 10.50am to 11am.

Find out more about the National Childbirth Trust from 11am to 11.10am and parents can learn the signs for favourite children’s songs from 11.15am to 11.45am.

There will be a manga art workshop from 11.45am to 12.45am. The Where’s Wally craft session and fancy dress will be from 12pm to 1pm and from 1pm to 2pm. Children aged six to 12 can join in the fun and hunt for Wally in the library.

An introduction to ancestry will be held from 2pm to 3.30pm and a story session for children aged six to 12 from 2pm to 2.50pm.

From 2pm to 3.30pm there will be a complete beginner IT taster session and there will be a second story session from 3pm to 3.30pm.

You can also drop in any time to meet representatives of local community groups and organisations.

It is necessary to book for the card making, the manga workshop, the introduction to ancestry and the beginner IT session.
