Woman hospitalised after plane propeller accident

A WOMAN is currently undergoing surgery after following an accident at RAF Henlow this morning (Friday, April 8).

The 35-year-old civilian is receiving treatment at Lister Hospital in Stevenage after her arm came into contact with the propeller of a fixed-wing aircraft at the base at around 11am.

Air ambulance charity Magpas Helimedix sent paramedics to the scene on the Magpas and Cambridgeshire Constabulary helicopter, where they assessed the woman and administered pain relief.

She was then taken to hospital by land ambulance.
