Women’s fight to receive equal pay
DISCOVER women’s battle to obtain equal pay at a film session.
Ivel Flix, Biggleswade’s community cinema, will be showing Made in Dagenham on Saturday, January 14. This drama, which stars Bob Hoskins and Sally Hawkin, tells the story of the women working for the Ford Dagenham car plant in the late 1960s and their decision to strike in protest of the unfair treatment levied at them.
The film will be shown at 3pm at Holmemead Middle School’s sports and arts centre. Tickets cost £3.50.
