You’ll dig Dunton garden’s coffee morning!

A COMMUNITY garden will celebrate its 10th anniversary by holding a fundraising coffee morning.

Dunton Community Garden opened a decade ago and the Dunton Community Garden Group is inviting residents to help it celebrate the landmark on Tuesday, May 17.

The event will run from 11am and plants and produce will be available to buy.

There will also be a raffle and coffee, tea and cakes.

Based at Church Farm, the garden aims to provide a demonstration organic garden for the benefit of the community.

The group is currently running the Dunton Fruit and Veg Project, which is being supported by the Big Lottery Fund’s Local Food scheme. The idea of the project is to provide opportunities for residents to get involved with the garden, learn how to grow their own organic produce and grow more fruit and vegetables in the area.

The garden will also be holding a planting out, potting up and sowing workshop day on Tuesday.

Workshops will run from 10am to 2pm and will cost £5 for members and £7 for non-members.
