Youngsters star on a crime solving show

PRE-SCHOOL children starred on television this week after thieves stole their toys.

Woodentops Pre-school was the subject of BBC1’s Crimewatch Roadshow on Tuesday morning. The show’s producers contacted the pre-school after thieves stole Lego and other children’s toys at the end of April.

The Potton establishment’s episode was one of a week long Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Crimewatch special.

Owner Carol Leggatt said: “Crimewatch got in touch with us about three weeks ago because the police had said about our toys being stolen.

“The children had a lovely time. The crew came down on Monday lunchtime to see where we were, plan shots and see how they wanted the children to be.

“We had two rehearsals and then did it live. The children were excellent and we were so proud of how they behaved.”
