Youth organisations receive cash boosts

The money came from a fund set up by the late May Garton, which was held in a trust by the Older People’s Action Group (OPAG).

May’s son Stephen presented the cheques to the organisations during the event at the St Andrew’s Church Chapter House in Biggleswade on Friday, February 15.

The ceremony was attended by representatives from the different organisations and members of OPAG.

An OPAG spokesman said: “It was a moving experience which showed how older members of the community want to help future generations.”
