Great Barford violinist performs at boxer Conor Benn’s big fight at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Conor Benn was boxing clever to achieve a big win but it was Storm String Artists who were pulling the strings at the event staged at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Storm String Artists, led by director Caroline Owen of Great Barford, performed at the Conor Benn and Regis Prograis $15m bout on Saturday (April 11).

The British boxer, son of former two-division world champion Nigel Benn, was back in action for the first time since his two middleweight bouts against Chris Eubank Jr in 2025, winning by a unanimous decision.
Violinist Caroline manages Storm String Artists who perform everything from small sections to full orchestras, with an eight-piece string orchestra wowing the audience at Saturday’s big boxing match.
Said Caroline: “It was an epic night performing at the Conor Benn fight for 65,000 fans live on Netflix.
“Our recent invitation to perform for the ring walk of Conor Benn was an exhilarating experience. We received notification just two weeks prior to the event, which set off a whirlwind of preparations.
"Behind the scenes, our dedicated team, including creative director, Brooklyn Kaur Benn and MD Simon Ledger from Symphonix, worked tirelessly to bring Brooklyn's vision to life.
“This performance was particularly special, as it mirrored my previous work for Chris Eubank Jr's ring walk against Conor Benn, where we successfully created an electrifying atmosphere that contributed to Eubank Jr’s victory last year.

"This time, we aimed to bring those uplifting winning vibes to Conor’s performance, which resulted in his win, making boxing history.”
One of the group’s youngest artists is Caroline’s son Omar, who recently won a place at the world famous Yehudi Menuhin School to study Double Bass and also won The Joan Scrutton Award for exceptional young String player of the year.
“There are only 100 places at the school, he was one of four from the UK to be selected following an intense audition process,” added Caroline.
Caroline’s journey as a violinist began in childhood, but her successful career has seen her performing for an array of celebrities, including American composer Jeff Wayne for the musical The War of the Worlds. She later toured Europe with the show for over 15 years.

Caroline has also headlined shows on five-star cruises and recently returned from performing in the Arctic Circle. She is now looking forward to headlining her own show, Strings on Fire, in Dubai.
She said: “As well as my high profile work, I feel it’s important to give back to the Bedfordshire community, I perform once a month at Manton Heights Care Home and run Wizard Strings String Course for the younger generation.”
