Biggleswade land second win of season

Kevin Wright won the toss and put Lutonians in on a damp wicket. Lutonians made a steady start despite losing an early wicket.

Matt Twigg then took the next three wickets before Saeed and Sharif added 74 runs. The Lutonian innings ended on 195-7.

Biggleswade started steadily with Kevin Wright and Smith putting on 68 for the first wicket before both went in quick succession.

Lawrence was bowled and when Randall lofted Zeb to Tahir Ishaq the match was in the balance.

Dagless and Twigg formed a crucial partnership putting on 77 runs. Twigg had scored 35 when he was bowled by Ali. The target of 196 was finally reached in the 39th over, with Dagless unbeaten on 36.

Ickwell recorded a welcome Division One win over Dunstable seconds.

Ickwell were put into bat in this Division One fixture and took full advantage by making 265 for 4 from their 40 overs. Cameron Smith (51), Harry Jerome (60), Harry Young (59 not out|) and Harry Fallows (51 not out) all made their half centuries. Is this the first time three Harrys have all made fifties?

In reply Dunstable made 220 for 8 to give Ickwell and 45 run victory. Jack MacDiarmid (53) and Tamjit Biryha (50 not out) were two more half century makers.

Waresley lost their Premier Division match by 5 wickets in a rain reduced 25 over match against Luton Town & Indians.

Waresley maintained a fast run rate but lost wickets at regular intervals. The innings was held together by 15 year old Josh Smith (48) as they made 123 for 8.

This was always going to be a difficult target to defend, and a cultured 51 from Sachin Wagh gave the home side victory with an over to spare. Pick of the Waresley bowlers was Rob Lowin with 1 for 16 in his 5 overs.

Waresley Development XI scored a fine home win over Biggleswade in a closely contested match.

Batting first, the Waresley youngsters scored freely with 14 year olds Ben Irish (48) and Oliver Gadsby (58*) the pick of the batsmen in a 172-4 score.. Harry Roberts (1- 13 off 8 overs) was the tidiest of the Town bowlers.

Jensen Smailes scored a patient 45 for the visitors who ended up 13 runs short. Jamie Baker (1-14 off 8 overs) led the Waresley attack.
