Charity Shield holders through to semi-finals

Two days after losing to Potton Town in the semi-final of the Heritage Cup, East Beds Senior Shield holders Eaton Socon (99-5) beat Flitwick (95-7) by two runs in a closely fought quarter-final last night (Wednesday) and will now face Ampthill Town at Woburn Road in the semis on a date to be decided by the charity competition’s Executive Committee.

The outstanding quarter-final tie is that involving Blunham and Potton which is due to be played next Monday (June 20) with the winners of that at home to Waresley on a date to be decided.
