Ickwell into Hospital Cup final

Skipper Milin Gandhi top-scored with 37, while Ben Fensome struck two sixes and a four in the last over as Ickwell made 116-4.

Ben Welch then picked up a wicket with the first ball of Kempston’s reply.

Harry Fallows ran out Nigel Thorn and Welch (4-14) claimed a second wicket to leave Hammers 23-3.

Kempston battled back, but a run out by Ross Fensone swung the game Ickwell’s way and Ben Faulkner’s 2-8 saw them finish on 98-9.

The final will be played at Ickwell on Thursday, July 18 at 6pm.
