The skipper gave a masterful performance to lead his side to victory over Biggleswade Town on The Green and into the competition quarter finals.

On a marvellous summer’s evening – one of few so far this year – Gandhi won the toss and chose to bat.

Milin went on to dominate the game and this was his night. Opening the batting he made 71 out of 98 runs for the first wicket and continued in a similar vein in a second wicket partnership with Ravi Kodikara before he was eventually dismissed for 121 with the score at 172.

Bringing back memories of his earlier innings for Ickwell, Milin faced just 61 balls and scored 19 fours and four sixes.

Ickwell had made 214-4 at the end of their 20 overs.

The Ickwell skipper could not be kept out of the game as he took the first wicket by running out Adam Lawrence and this was soon followed by his memorable catch to dismiss Matt Twigg.

Biggleswade could not match the Ickwell scoring rate and finished on 156-6 to lose by 58 runs.

Ickwell will meet Blunham or Southill Park in the next round
