Cyclists do battle at Biggleswade Sports Meeting

Cycle Club Ashwell riders competed at Biggleswade Sports Meeting at the weekend.

The Biggleswade Sports Meeting Grass Track Event at Fairfield encompassed Youth Omnium events as well as Senior National League events.

In the U10 Category Nathan Hardy took third with 19 points ahead of teammates Evan Foulkes, Mark Lightfoot and Archie Bracewell. In the U12’s, it was a 1-2 for CCA with Adam Lightfoot taking the win and James Fraser claiming second with 19 and 20 points respectively.

Ashwell’s Gareth Lewis took a fantastic first in the U14s event and in the u16s, Henry Skelding claimed fourth spot.

Riding in the Seniors National League; Bryn Davis, Jon Polak and Ian Foulkes took part in both the short distance and endurance league events. In the short distance, Davis took 3rd spot ahead of Polak in 4th and Foulkes in 6th. The same order was held in the endurance series with Davis taking 4th, Polak 5th and Foulkes 8th.
