Arlesey triumph while Waders are held

Arlesey Town’s Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division play-off hopes remain alive after a 2-0 win at Redditch United on Thursday night.

The visitors, who had Chris Dillon sent off, scored through Kim Forsythe (53) and James Hatch (57).

Arlesey are now six points away from the play-offs with seven games left and travel to St Neots Town this afternoon.

Meanwhile, in Division One Central, Biggleswade Town earned a 1-1 draw at fellow promotion chasers Royston Town on Thursday.

Lee Allinson put the Waders ahead on 13 minutes, before Royston equalised after 32 minutes to salvage a point as Biggleswade were also reduced to 10 men as Steven Gentle was dismissed.

Town travel to North Greenford United today.
