County League’s midweek pre-season round-up

ON Wednesday evening in the Bedfordshire Football League’s pre-season action, a Blunham XI emerged 2-1 winners at Sandy with strikes from Matty McMahon and Chris Dunne against a home reply from Daniel Stafford, whilst fellow Premier Division club Arlesey Town Reserves were beaten 2-0 at Co-op Sports, Gavin Smith and Kris Fox the home marksman.

The top scorers of the evening were Bromham United, 5-2 home winners over M & DH Oakley thanks to a brace from Dean Waghorn and strikes from Adam Cranny, Russell Homer and Phil Kempshall.

Just one goal behind were Eastcotts, 4-3 home winners over Kempston Hammers ( Sunday ) Liam Parker twice plus Michael Sexton and Shane Wilson netting the goals.

A Jonny Gadene goal, his first for the club, was enough to take Shefford Town & Campton A to a 1-0 home win over Dunton A, whilst over at Harvey Close, Caldecote Reserves and Great Barford played out a 0-0 draw.

AFC Bletchley have pulled out of their visit to Miller Road to face Bedford Hatters.
