FC stun leaders, Town are beaten and United win at Harlow
A late winner from Temi Akinbusoye gave Biggleswade FC a 1-0 win at league leaders Hitchin Town on Saturday.
Hitchin, who had won their previous six league games and were unbeaten since September, lost top spot to Leighton Town as a result of the defeat.

Akinbusoye scored with a fine turn and shot on 89 minutes to send the travelling Biggleswade supporters home happy having seen their side consolidate third place in the SPL Division One Central.
FC are back in action on Friday night when they host Aylesbury United, before they then go to AFC Dunstable on Tuesday.
*Biggleswade Town, meanwhile, were the losing side as Leighton Town regained top spot with a 2-1 win at the Sonning Finance Stadium.
Josh Steele cancelled out Godlove Oppong’s early opener but Oppong struck a fine solo goal seven minutes from time to leave Biggleswade fourth in the table and now three points behind FC in the play-off places.
Town’s trip to Flackwell Heath was postponed on Tuesday due to a waterlogged pitch.
It means they are next in action this weekend when they go to Hadley on Saturday.
*Biggleswade United were 2-0 winners at Harlow Town on Saturday to stay second in the SSML Premier Division.
Scott Metcalfe’s back-heeled opener put them in front before a fine strike from Liam Smyth doubled the lead before half-time.
United are three points behind leaders Winslow who have played two games fewer, with United hosting AFC Welwyn on Saturday and then Harpenden in the Premier Division Cup on Tuesday.
Boss Kane Dougherty said of United’s win: “The result was the key thing as we knew we had to get three points today. Having got the two goals in the first-half, we then managed the game a lot better in the second.”
