Hide AdAnd it was in the 120th minute that United pushed forward and when newcomer Souleman Nsangou spread the ball wide to Aderonmou, the Hadley back line were at full stretch leaving the hobbling Jaward free to collect the pass and draw their keeper off his line before tucking the ball away to send the Biggleswade players and bench into raptures in the dying second.
Just 24 hours earlier, Arlesey Town were beaten 4-1 in the Southern League’s Premier Division at home by Oxford City, Joel Mason having pulled a consoltion goal back.
And at Ampthill’s Woburn Road, Potton United let a 3-0 lead slip from their grasp as they bowed out of the South Midlands Floodlit Cup 4-3 after a stoppage time Danny Phillips strike.
After a goalless opening half, Potton went 3-0 up with goals from Graham Tibbals, a Matt Steele penalty and Nick Cooper but Lea Coulter made it 3-1 from the spot while Tyrone Taylor, Nick Hughes and finally Phillips completed Ampthill’s amazing fightback.
