It’s derby day delight for Langford at Arlesey Res

Langford played some good football from the start, with the returning Sean Murray prominent in the early stages, but it was the hosts who took the lead after 20 minutes.

George Ironton turned the Langford defence inside out on the right wing and his low cross was turned into his own net by the unlucky Laurie Bambridge.

However, Langford were level with a fine goal on 35 minutes, after great inter play by Vooght and Matt Kenneford saw a low cross find Connor Waite who made no mistake from close range.

The visitors were then ahead with another fine goal on the stroke of half-time. Craig Nield played a fine one-two with Kenneford and he rounded the advancing keeper to turn the game on its head.

The Reds had a golden chance to increase the lead soon after the break when Ross Scotney was brought down in the box, but Kenneford fired high and wide from the resulting spot kick.

However, the win was assured when Vooght coolly lobbed the ball over the advancing keeper to keep his side in the top half of the table.
