Langford held in thriller but Potton are beaten

Langford were involved in another astonishing Molten Spartan SML Division One thriller as they drew 4-4 at New Bradwell St Peter on Saturday.

After being held 4-4 by Amersham last Saturday, Langford moved 2-0 ahead as Jordan Cleghorn and Martin Kenneford netted.

Bradwell hit back though as Ross Stone scored twice to draw his side level by the break.

The second period saw Nathan Skelton and Stone make it 4-2, only for Langford to snatch a point with late goals from Butina and Kenneford.

In the Premier Division, Biggleswade United and Stotfold saw their games cancelled due to the freezing weather.

Meanwhile, in ChromaSports & Trophies UCL Division One, Potton United were beaten 3-2 by Bourne Town at the weekend.

The hosts led 2-0 at the break through Johnny Currall’s double strike, but Nick Cooper reduced the deficit in the second half.

Tom Waumsley glanced Bourne 3-1 in front, before Steve Thomas netted a consolation for Potton.
