The SSML Division One clash started with play moving from end to end in a very open session of football, with most of the action in midfield.

Crawley Green, with the freshening wind at their backs, gradually gained the upper hand and forced Langford back into their own half. Sam Peverall managed the first Crawley shot after eight minutes.

The game continued to move from end to end, but the wind made it difficult to play good football. Langford passed the ball better, and following a four man move Stephen Brooks shot narrowly wide for the hosts.

As the game went on Crawley tried their luck with a series of wind assisted long shots, which were well saved by Allie Jaward in the Langford goal.

With the wind now at their backs in the second period Langford had the bulk of early possession and pinned the visitors back.

Craig Nield and Sean McMonagle both had 35 yard efforts carry just over the bar. The pressure continued with Nield running through the opposition midfield on a number of occasions.

Crawley counter attacked and worked their way back up the field, having the best of the possession. Langford finished strongly but were unable to find a winner.
