Potton earn a great point at promotion-chasing Eynesbury

Potton United earned an excellent draw at high-flying Eynesbury Rovers on Wednesday night.

In the opening minute of the second half, Potton were ahead when Dan Burgin’s long ball saw Gary Ansell-Carter race clear and fire into the top corner.

Two minutes later Nick Cooper was put through and he saw his shot well saved by Andrew Wale, but Eynesbury came back into the match and their pressure paid off on 81 minutes Dave Fisk forced the ball home to equalise.

In the closing minutes a cross from Steve Thomas was headed goalwards by Alex Taylor and Wale did well to push the ball over the bar as the visitors earned a deserved point.

Potton travel to Wellingborough Whitworth this weekend.
