Roberts makes leaders Hemel pay the penalty

Arlesey Town enjoyed a fine 3-1 home win over Southern Premier Division leaders Hemel Hempstead Town at the weekend.

After Matt Nolan had put the visitors in front on four minutes, Arlesey replied when Drew Roberts was fouled in the area and got up to convert the spot kick three minutes afterwards.

Another penalty followed in the second period when Hemel were penalised for handball on 58 minutes allowing Roberts to score again, before the visitors had a spot kick of their own, only to see Nathan Abbey make a superb save from Steven O’Leary.

Arlesey guaranteed the points late on as Chris Dillon got the vital touch to make it 3-1 on 78 minutes.
