Samuel Whitbread lift Beds Schools County Cup
Facing a strong Lea Manor side at Redborne Upper School, striker Harry Bean opened the scoring midway through the first half with a neat finish.
The second period brought more outstanding pass-and-move play and Whitbread capitalised with a well-worked goal finished by Billy Cook.

Hide AdAs Lea Manor tired, Bean finished the game with a sublime lob over the keeper from the edge of the area and although there was enough time for Lea Manor to steal a well-worked consolation goal of their own, Samuel Whitbread completed a deserved 3-1 victory.
Two weeks earlier the Schools’ District Final was won after a tough 2-0 victory over St Thomas More at Kempston Rovers FC thanks to Cassius Straughn header and Liam Phillips’ strike.
