Saturday football: Arlesey held, Waders beaten

Arlesey Town were held to a goalless draw in the west country on Saturday.

The deadlock wasn’t broken at either end in the Evo-Stik Premier Division game at Chippenham Town. Arlesey remain in eighth place in the league following the game.

It was a day to forget for Biggleswade Town who were beaten 4-0 at Ashford Town in the Evo-Stik Division One Central, Brown completing a hat-trick for the hosts a minute from time.

In the SSML Premier Division Biggleswade United were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Harefield United. James Peters gave United a 14th minute lead but Harefield replied through Saman Kanani a quarter of an hour from time.

It was the same 1-1 scoreline at Stotfold where honours were shared with Haringey Borough. Darrel Cox put Borough in front on 57 minutes only for Lewis Holmes to level on 75 minutes.

Langford were 2-1 winners in SSML Division One. Jamie Osborne and Ryan Ellis put them two goals to the good shortly before the interval, with visitors Kings Langley grabbing a late consolation through Jack Pattison.

Potton United went down 1-0 at Raunds Town in the UCL Division One, Danny Tarr grabbing the only goal of the game two minutes before the interval.
