Saturday football: Waders win, Arlesey off

Only Biggleswade Town won locally on Saturday as the football programme was affected by the freezing temperatures.

The Southern League Premier Division game between Arlesey Town and Swindon Supermarine and the Spartan South Midlands Division One match involving Chesham United Reserves and Langford were both postoned due to frozen pitches.

The Waders were away to North Greenford United who have tripped up some of the leading Evo-Stik Central League sides this season and with just 48 spectators in the ground, the goalless opening half did little to warm them up.
