SML ROUND UP: Stotfold ship five but United triumph

Stotfold fell to a 5-3 defeat at Hillingdon Borough in the Molten Spartan SML Premier Division on Saturday.

The visitors had taken a fifth minute lead when Kim Forsythe scored, but Jon Constant (9) and Ben Gill (32) made it 2-1 to Borough.

Tom Kirk’s own goal saw Stotfold level at 2-2 on 44 minutes, only for the hosts to move 4-2 in front through Jimmy Froud’s 70th minute penalty and Constant’s second.

Paul Garrett’s spot kick (84) saw Stotfold back to within a goal, only for Paul Summers to seal the win five minutes later.

Bigglewade United enjoyed a 1-0 win at Tring Athletic in front of 63 fans thanks to Robbie Freeman’s 26th minute strike

In Reserve Division One, Langford drew 2-2 with London Lions, while in Reserve Division Two, Biggleswade United won 3-1 at Wodson Park.
