In the closing stages of the first period, referee Mr Newell pulled his hamstring, and assistant Mr Barter took the whistle.

The stoppage saw Arlesey lose concentration as Gary Middleton was gifted a free header past Nathan Abbey for the game’s only goal.

After the break, Chris Marsh fed Roberts who found the bottom corner, but the flag was up for offside, while late on, substitute Chris Dillon went down under a challenge in the box, but nothing was given.
