The SSML Premier Division side had a difficult first half of the season but turned things around, reaching three cup finals and easing well clear of relegation.

They have since retained Steve Young as manager with the bulk of the team already having put pen to paper for next season.

“The squad Steve has is predominantly made up of young players, many of which have progressed through our highly successful academy system,” said club chairman Phil Pateman.

“Stotfold’s future rests with the continued development of our youth team set up.

“Players are bypassing the reserve team set-up to play first team football so it makes sense to offer a ground share for a club looking to progress.

“This will bring much needed revenue, whilst we concentrate on the development of our midweek and Sunday academy teams to secure the long term future of the football club.

“We are second to none when it comes to providing senior first team opportunities as part of their future development.”

Work on Stotfold’s new ground along Arlesey Road has recommenced and Pateman is hoping that they will be ready during the 2015 season.

“It has been a long time coming, but the new facilities will give us the ability to progress through the pyramid system, whilst also providing a home for the Stotfold Juniors with several community pitches also planned.”

Aside from a ground share, Stotfold have key management vacancies at U15 and U17 level.
