United suffered Harefield defeat

Biggleswade United were beaten 2-1 by Harefield United in their Molten Spartan League SML Premier Division clash on Saturday.

The visitors were in front when Sam Nair scored on two minutes, but Harefield hit back through R Cannon (23) and P Cicero (73).

Stotfold went down 2-1 at home to Tring Athletic.

The hosts led as Nyasha Sagwete netted on 10 minutes, but T Gibbs’ double (37 and 65) saw Tring take the points.

In Division One, Langford were beaten 3-1 at home by Buckingham Athletic.

The hosts had a 17th minute lead when Carl Albon scored, but Buckingham were immediately level through F Tarrant.

P Dearlove made it 2-1 on the stroke of half time, while S King completed the win in the second period.

Arlesey Town Reserves lost out 3-1 at Sun Postal Sports, with D Nickels-Benson on target.

In the ChromaSports & Trophies United Counties League Division One, Potton United were beaten 2-0 at home by Bugbrooke St Michaels.
