Biggleswade Town were beaten 3-1 by promotion rivals Slough Town on Tuesday evening.

The visitors got off to a great start as Joel Mason put them in front with a poachers finish from a corner.

He almost made it two, sending a shot inches wide of the post following a great run, but Slough hit back before the break to equalise and then Jake Parsons put them in front moments later.

The Rebels turned on the style in the second period as a defensive mistake led to the third goal for Ryan O’Toole.

Waders boss Chris Nunn made two substitutions, bringing on Paul Barnes and Alex O’Brien for Joe Reynolds and the injured Craig Daniel with 30 minutes to go.

Biggleswade had a glorious chance to pull one back when they were awarded a penalty, but Lee Allinson missed his first spot kick of the season as Town went down to defeat.

Waders host Fleet Town tomorrow and then travel to Royston Town on Easter Monday.
