Next S&S entertain second placed Norwich City IIs, a win will put serious daylight between them and their only real contenders for the East Men’s Leage Division Two South title.

There was a very disjointed performance from S&S Mens IIs at home to Blueharts V. Despite having the vast majority of the ball they failed to create the opportunities to reflect the pressure they mounted.

In the first half the game was fairly even and Blueharts hit the post before they took the lead after some poor marking left the young forward completely free for an easy finish.

The second half saw S&S lay siege to the Blueharts goal, but a combination of some good saves, some last gasp defending and poor final balls frustrated the IIs. With only a few minutes left S&S finally pulled one back for 1-1, Ramohan Bhogal doing well to get the ball over the line from a short corner.

S&S Mens IVs were involved in an enthralling game at Southgate Pitchers, losing 2-0.

Both sides had plenty of pace in their respective line ups. There were chances at both ends in the first half and it was not until the last shot of the first half that the Pitchers took the lead with a good reverse stick finish.

With the second half following the same frantic pattern, the Pitchers dominated the first 20 minutes, but were denied by some good defending and one stunning save from James Steer.

For the last 15 minutes it was all S&S. Ed De Luca went close twice, and with five minutes left skipper Trevor Bridger after beating two defenders at the short corner squandered a great chance with the keeper to beat.

With two minutes left the Pitchers caught S&S on the break and sealed the points with their second goal.
