Do you recall local band?

Gavin Keen has emailed us as he is trying to find information on a band called Boot which he believes were local and dated from the 1960s-70s era. Can Memory Lane readers help?

He explains: “My reason for searching this band is because I have just brought a guitar amplifier which has the name ‘Boot Band’ written inside one of the wooden panels and the amplifier came from a music shop in Biggleswade in 1994.

“This particular amplifier was made in 1961 so I’m trying to gather as much history on the amp as I can and firstly starting by tracking down the Boot Band.”

Gavin believes they must have been quite famous in the area as “only well known bands used to print their name on the amplifiers so they didn’t get lost whilst gigging”.
