The other smart quiz team
Following our photograph of Smart & Brown’s winning road safety quiz team in the 1970s (first published on February 7) Tony Hutchinson has sent in this picture of the other team from Smart & Brown that won the quiz in around 1962-63 when he worked for the firm. And don’t they all look young!
First left in the back row is Bernard Owen, then in the front row, left to right are – Patterson, Mick Hardy, Tony Hutchinson, who was around 19 at the time, and Lionel Fuggles. The quizzes were run on a regular basis by Bedfordshire Police.
