VSO dancers are named

Memory Lane recently published a photograph of one of the first Voluntary Services dances for troops who were billeted in the parish during World War Two (December 21, 2012).

The dances took place at Biggleswade’s Memorial Hall.

Reprinted above, the picture was taken in 1940 and kindly supplied by Philip Gale whose father was the well known Horace Gale.

Tom Leath has now contacted us with many of the names of those that were there, including himself.
