Donovan and Robertson fastest for Bedfordshire Road Cycling Club in King of Hillfoot event

Bedfordshire Road Cycling Club continued their Sunday morning SPOCO Series on 2nd May with the legendary “King of Hillfoot” event. This is an 18 mile route, which takes the competitors twice along Southill Road and up the sharp climb towards Old Warden, the second ascent being immediately before the finish. Conditions were near perfect, with light winds and sunshine. First home for the club was Men's Captain, Matt Donovan. Emily Robertson led the club lady competitors to the finish. The event was won by Simon Cannings of Equipe Velo, in 44mins 25 seconds. The BRCC Handicap winner was David Heath.
