Team GB star swims for charity

Ross, fresh from the summer 2012 games, also took to the water to swim the 1.5k course. CORDA are planning to run the sponsored open water swim at Box End Lake again next year, in order to raise awareness and funds for the charity.
Ross Davenport states, ““it was a pleasure to represent CORDA, the Heart and Stroke Charity, once again at Box End Park for the sponsored open water swim. I had a wonderful time swimming, supporting and raising awareness for the remarkable charity. I look forward to seeing CORDA grow from strength-to-strength in the future.”

“As a result of our early pioneering work, the world’s most advanced unit for the early detection of heart disease and strokes was developed by us as a charity and is based in London at the Royal Brompton Hospital.
“Heart disease is still the biggest killer in our society and the creation of early detection by non-invasive methods is now possible thanks to CORDA.”
CORDA supports high quality research into the early diagnosis and prevention of heart disease and stroke through magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasound (all non-invasive). For more information on CORDA log on to www.corda.org.uk.
