Jane is heavily involved with Oxfolk ceilidhs, and has a wealth of experience from the Oxford folk music and dance scene. A top caller who will make the night fly by!

A spokesman for the event said: “Both January and February’s ceilidhs were resounding successes, with over 50 dancers enjoying themselves. Let’s make this month’s just as good, if not better!

“Forget the armchair and television for just one night, and exercise those muscles. You know it makes sense.”

People can simply pay at the door. The evening starts at 8pm with the doors opening at 7.30pm. It finishes about 11pm.

Entrance is £10 for adults and £9 for seniors and children under 18 is £6. Students and the unwaged can get in for £7. First 6 students before 8pm.

All the dances are walked through beforehand, and the emphasis is very much on enjoying yourself, rather than getting everything step perfect.

The spokesman added: “Be as exuberant or as restrained as you want when you dance.”

There’s a raffle with a chance to win a bottle of wine or chocolates.
