Singer channels her life experience at gig

A singer and songwriter Louise Jordan is making a return to Bladock and Letchworth Folk Club later this month.

She will be performing songs from her four recordings alongside new material at the the club on Wednesday April 13.

Louise has a wealth of experience behind her in many areas having studied law, worked as a youth worker and in youth justice before training and working as a teacher in challenging schools in east London as part of the Teach First graduate scheme.

While working as a project manager for Shelter and studying for a Masters (MA) in human rights Louise discovered folk clubs.

“I believe these experiences she says “have informed the direction of my songwriting and performing.

“I write and choose songs which explore the human condition and which people can relate to.”

With four recordings, nine UK and two European tours already under her belt, Louise Jordan is back on the road and is coming to Baldock as part of a tour of venues across the UK.

She continues to win support across the country with a stream of exceptional reviews and some national radio play to boot.

Credited as writer, engineer and producer Louise also sings, plays guitar and piano.
