Battle scars are a certainty!

Music fans can enjoy an ongoing sonic battle at one Chronicle Country pub on Friday (February 15).

The Red Lion in Biggleswade will be the venue to be heading to enjoy lives sets from Scar City and Kurama Junction, who will be competing in the pub’s Battle of the Bands contest.

Since January bands from around the area have been battling it out each week.

Acts are assessed by judges and also by the levels of audience noise that their performances bring out.

The music starts at 8pm and the final will be on Friday, March 22.

Rock covers will be the order of the night at The Rose in Biggleswade on Saturday, February 16, courtesy of Hesh.

Us2 will be playing at Potton & District Club, also on Saturday, while The Soul Man will be bringing the best sounds of the genre to The Roundabout Club in Sandy on Friday. Rock covers will be on the agenda at The Cornerstone in Shefford on Saturday when The Unbreakables perform at the venue.

Fans of The Beatles and other legends from the 1960s might like to spend their evening at The Chequers in Stotfold on Friday.

The Beatniks pay tribute to the Fab Four and acts like The Kinks and The Who.
