Performers and some pints too

Many nights out at the local watching live music tend to be a little ‘crash, bang, wallop’ on the musical side.

Not so with Performers and Pints in Potton, the long-running night from accomplished musician Will Mak.

Will has over time built up a burgeoning reputation with Performers and Pints, and Friday’s version (September 28) at The Red Lion pub will be extra special.

Their song writing style is a mix of traditional folk, punk, chorus and cabaret (if you can imagine such a thing) and the finished result is something not to be missed.

They sing tales of underdogs, suicides, circus freaks, the bereaved, frustrated and heart-broken, the washed up and mentally ill.

Ever enduring outsiders, it’s thought they are one of the world’s longest serving, truly amateur, original musical groups.

They are certainly one of the best around.
