Bedfordshire BusinessWomen: December 2011

I hope you’ve had a cracking build up to Christmas and your festivities are in full swing.

Last week 52 business women attended our Christmas Networking Lunch at the Horse & Jockey. All guests presented their business and made new business contacts.

Thank you to our guest speaker Heather Dallas, an inspiring motivational speaker who has travelled the world with her work. The Secret Santa proved popular and an auction raised £470 for St Johns Hospice on the day.

BBW members are delighted with their brand new website and are continuing to embrace social media. Our Facebook page is flourishing and members have now linked with each other on LinkedIn.

We also sponsored the Adult Achiever Award at the Pride in Bedford Awards 2011.

International Women’s Day will be our next major event. Sponsored by Bedford College, it will be held on Thursday, February 16 at Shuttleworth College, Old Warden.

February is the month to increase business profile. Aiming for 200 female guests it will be a fantastic networking opportunity. A showcase of 18 business stands, networking and coffee morning, two course lunch and the pleasure of listening to our guest speaker Ruth Badger from The Apprentice. Before that, I am looking forward to our January network and pamper at Champneys Henlow. A fantastic venue very close to my heart, it’s where I started my beauty therapy training at the age of 16.

On behalf of BBW we would like to wish all Times & Citizen readers a Merry Christmas and successful 2012.

Warm Wishes,

Kerry Cash
