Award given to proud site manager Gareth

A SITE manager at a housing development has been offficially commended for the pride he takes in the job.

Gareth Day, who works at Taylor Wimpey’s Bramble Walk development in Biggleswade has scooped the Pride in the Job Quality Award from the National House-Building Council (NHBC).

Seeing off strong competition from more than 13,000 entries, Gareth is one of 65 Taylor Wimpey site managers from around the UK who have received the accolade.

Before presenting the awards the NHBC carries out regular inspections throughout the year, and Gareth now has four Quality Awards from the organisation.

He said: “Winning the NHBC Quality Award is a great achievement for any site manager, but it’s really only possible thanks to the hard work of the entire site team. Although I’m the one responsible for making sure the highest standards are in place I can only do that by having a top team around me.”
