Biggleswade and Sandy elect Mayors

Biggleswade Town Council re-elected Hazel Ramsay as the Town Mayor at a meeting on Tuesday.

She saw off stiff competition from David Albone winning by one vote. Councillor Albone will be the Deputy Mayor.

In Sandy, Will Jackson was also re-elected to serve as the Mayor.

He said: “I am honoured to serve the town for a second term of office.”

The Deputy Mayor will be the former High Sheriff of Bedfordshire, Councillor Colin Osborne.
