Charity cyclists raised thousands

FUNDRAISERS put their feet to the pedals for a 58 mile cycling challenge.

The nine cyclists, most of whom live in Sandy, were sponsored by Buddy Fox and his son Danny Fox of Arlesey Carpets.

Together they raised £4,000 for the British Heart Foundation. The race started in Clapham Common, London and ended in Brighton.

Danny said: “We were all pretty shattered when we reached Brighton but it was a brilliant experience.

“It was quite emotional for us all that we had achieved it and all nine crossed the finishing line together – not bad when you consider we were part of 25,000 bikers!”

They trained for several months prior to the event. Arlesey Carpets sponsored the cyclists in memory of Buddy’s son, Robert, who died in 2010 aged just 40 because of a heart related problem.
