Wooden plane crashes at Shuttleworth air show
A pilot was taken to hospital after his wooden plane crashed during an air show at the Shuttleworth Collection at the weekend.
The plane, believed to be an Avro Triplane IV replica, crashed on the south end of the airfield on Saturday (May 30) during the Wings and Wheels Air Show at around 8.15pm.

The pilot was trapped inside the more than 100-year-old aircraft, which was stuck in a tree.
The fire service worked with staff at Old Warden Park and ambulance teams to rescue the man.
In a statement, Shuttleworth said: “The pilot in question has now been extracted from the scene, given a thumbs up, and has been taken to hospital.”
Crews left the scene just before 1am.
Shuttleworth was closed on Sunday (May 31) and the pilot was discharged from hospital, with Shuttleworth adding he was “in good spirits”.
Station Commander Matthew Ockenden said: “This was a challenging rescue crews had to carry out in the dark, factoring in a number of complexities.
“Our thanks goes to the on-site fire crew that was first in attendance, as well as the excellent partnership working with all the staff from Old Warden."
