Enjoy a weekend of rock and soul in Chronicle country

Don’t have plans for the weekend yet?

Set to appear at Arlesey Football club tonight are Fishing For Robots, a three piece band specialising in Dark Gothic & Electronic Anthems, mainly from the 80s, but featuring more recent excursions into the genre... Be prepared for a feast of heavy electro-rock!

And on Saturday Maxwell Hammer and Smith, a rock harmony band whose members have all been in professional bands, and ‘trodden the boards’ as they say, will be at The Liberal Club, Biggleswade.

The band cover songs from Queen, to Eagles, to Focus and Boston, Kansas, Steely Dan, and are noted for the difficult songs they attempt as a three piece - many bands wouldn’t try.

For those who prefer soul, Touchedby the Hand of Soul is at Potton and Distroct Club on Saturday with the duo of soul Della and Carl, and some soul classics.

And The Rockface Band is at The Roundabout Cloub in sandy, also on Saturday, starting at 9.15pm.
