THE White Horse public house in Southill was the venue for this reunion which took place on October 13, 1986.

From left to right are: Ken Page, John Green, Norman Desborough, Joe Barford, Richard Larkinson, Basil Jeeves, Jim Wines, Albert Carpenter, Charlie Chambers, Eric Harradine, Don Webb, Percy Charter, Derek Daisley, and Sid Garner. Ron Darlington and Jimmy Heath were also present during the evening although they are not in the photo.

Said Ken: “I joined the army cadets in 1942 and left in 1946 to volunteer for the Royal Artillery. As I joined for the duration of the emergency I just served for two years and went back to my job at the Biggleswade Brewery Office. This was the first of a series of reunions which ran right through to the last and largest gathering at Shefford Town Memorial Hall in 1993.”
