"Ickwell’s a well-established cricket club and has a great youth cricket set up which over the past few years has seen children go from beginners to being selected to play representative county cricket and playing for our adult teams. We have both girls and boys training and playing in matches in mixed teams. The under 9s play pairs cricket with a soft wind ball, the U11s with a slightly harder incrediball and Under 13 and Under 15s play with a leather ball.
"Youth cricket was understandably very limited last year, so we’re keen to get as many youngsters back out and enjoying the sport this year as we can. All new players are welcome, but we’re especially keen for new members in our U13 and U15 teams."
Coaching is led by Paul Oakins, a level 2 coach. All the club's coaches have up to date DBS checks and Ickwell is an ECB Clubmark approved cricket club.
