Officers found a body in the driver’s seat, later confirmed to be 47-year-old Jesbir Singh Khela, known to some as Jessy, from Letchworth, Hertfordshire.

Despite seven arrests made in connection with the murder, nobody has been charged.

Crimestoppers is now offering a £20,000 reward for information given to them that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for his death.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Inwood, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said: "A year on from the tragic death of Jessy, his family and friends still have many unanswered questions.

“We know that someone out there will have information that could help us find out what happened in the lead up to his death. Please do come forward and tell us what you know.

“If you don't want to speak to the police, you can speak to independent charity Crimestoppers, which is separate to the police. They will not share any of your details with us, and they are offering a reward of £20,000 for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.”

Anyone with information can contact police on 101 or via www.beds.police.uk quoting Operation Acle.
