Sandy Guild aids first responders
A significant donation was made to the Biggleswade, Potton & Sandy First Responders on Saturday, October 17 by members of the Sandy Guild and The Sir William Peel Public House who worked together to raise funds for this great charity.

The donation of £1,491.15 is half of the profits made at this year’s PEEL FEST 6 - the remaining sum being donated to St John’s Hospice, Moggerhanger.
Community First Responders (CFRs) are volunteers who are trained by East of England Ambulance Service, NHS Trust to attend certain types of emergency calls in the area where they live or work. They aim to reach a potential life-threatening emergency in the first vital minutes before the ambulance crew arrives. They help to stabilise the patient and provide appropriate care until the more highly skilled ambulance crew arrives to take over the treatment.
The donation will be put towards the purchasing, replacing and upgrading of existing equipment.
