Another sewage leak on Biggleswade's Dunton Lane - but it is hoped 'final repair' will be today
Sewage is once again leaking onto Biggleswade's Dunton Lane – but it’s hoped that this time might be the last.
Human waste was spotted yesterday morning (September 2) and is still there today (September 3).

But it is understood that Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) is working to fix the issue – and The Chronicle has contacted CBC for a comment.
Central Bedfordshire councillor, Hayley Whitaker, said: "I spotted it yesterday when I drove through – I smelt it before I saw it. I could smell that there was something not right, so I came back and took some photos."
Cllr Whitaker reported the evidence to CBC and says they sent a team out to pump some of the sewage and stop it from leaking.
But she told the Chronicle the problem is “worse” today.
Cllr Whitaker claimed: "I went past this morning [September 3] around 8am and it was a lot, lot worse. Probably as bad as I've seen it, actually.
"There were three puddles of sewage water running along Dunton Lane – you could see the sewage bubbling up from the ground."
The council is currently working to fix the electricity supply, as the pumps – belonging to Dunton Lane pumping station – keep tripping out.
A sewage leak due to the faulty electrics occured for a few days from August 19, and had also happened earlier in the month.
"It's hoped that the final repair will be done today," said cllr Whitaker. "I'm hoping that this will be the fix that will fix it once and for all."
